Family and personal documents: bank packs, school packs, civil records
A family living in İstanbul produces the same paperwork every year: the bank asks where the money came from, the school asks for last year's transcripts, the consulate asks for a birth certificate with an apostille. Each is a short chain of collection, translation, notarisation and ordering. We run the chain and hand you one pack, with a plain cover note, in the order the institution expects.

Turkish banks ask individuals as well as companies: at account opening, when a transfer arrives from abroad, when you deposit cash, and at the annual review. The letter names categories; you must produce specific documents, often foreign, usually with notarised translation, within a deadline. We map, collect, translate, order and deliver.
The notarial tariff is paid by you directly to the notary. We are not a notary and receive no remuneration from any notary.

Worked example: bank asks for employment letter, 6 months of salary slips and a property sale contract from Russia — 5 pages translated and notarised: ₺1,500 + 5 × ₺700 + ₺400 = ₺5,400 to ROSTU; ≈ ₺4,420 to the notary.
What banks typically accept as source of funds
| Origin of money | Documents |
|---|---|
| Salary | Employment letter, 3–6 months of payslips, bank statements showing the credits |
| Business income | Company registry extract, dividend resolution, financial statements, tax returns |
| Sale of property or vehicle | Sale contract, title transfer, bank statement of the proceeds |
| Inheritance or gift | Inheritance certificate or court decision; gift declaration with the giver's own source documents |
| Savings over years | Statements covering the period; tax returns |
| Pension | Pension award letter and statements |
| Loan | Loan agreement and disbursement proof |
The cover note we draft lists the documents and what each shows. It is a factual index, not an opinion; you sign it as your own statement. If your situation involves disputed funds, inheritance litigation or tax questions, retain a lawyer directly.
School enrolment and diploma document pack
Every September the same list: the previous school's transcripts and leaving certificate, birth certificate, residence permits of parent and child, vaccination record, and for state schools the denklik (equivalence) document from the provincial education directorate. For adults: diploma recognition (denklik via YÖK for higher education) for work permits, university admission or professional registration.
The notarial tariff is paid by you directly to the notary. We are not a notary and receive no remuneration from any notary.

Typical school pack (state or private)
- Child's passport and residence permit (or application document); parent's permit
- Birth certificate — apostilled in the issuing country, notarised translation
- Transcripts for the last one to three years and the leaving certificate from the previous school — apostilled, notarised translation
- Denklik certificate from the İl Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğü (state schools; many private schools also ask)
- Vaccination record, translated
- Address registration (Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi) from e-Devlet for state-school catchment
- Photos
What can go wrong
- Transcripts without apostille. The education directorate will not issue denklik. The apostille must be obtained in the country of the school — before you travel.
- Grade placement disputes. Denklik may place the child a year lower if subjects do not match; we explain the rule, we cannot change the outcome.
- YÖK recognition of a degree can take months and may require additional exams for regulated professions. Start before the work permit timeline depends on it.
Civil records and other personal documents
- Marriage in Türkiye: certificate of no impediment from your consulate, translated and notarised; municipality marriage office appointment coaching
- Birth of a child in Türkiye: hospital record → nüfus registration → consular registration; translations and apostilles for the home country
- Turkish documents going abroad: nüfus kayıt örneği, criminal-record extract, court decisions — apostille errand
- Power of attorney for use abroad: you sign before the notary (vekaletname harç ₺307.90 per signature plus tariff items), then apostille; we book, bring the interpreter and run the apostille
- Family account: each member's documents separate, renewal dates for permits, passports and insurance tracked, school pack each year — see family renewal guidance

Questions
The bank asked for "source of funds". What do they actually want?
Documents that show where the money you deposit or transfer came from: salary slips and employment letters, a sale contract for property or a car, a company's dividend resolution and accounts, an inheritance certificate, a pension statement, a loan agreement. Foreign documents are usually needed with a notarised Turkish translation. The bank's letter lists categories; we map them to the specific documents you can obtain.
What is denklik and do my children need it?
Denklik is the Ministry of National Education's recognition of foreign school years so a child can be placed in the right grade in a Turkish school. It is issued by the provincial education directorate on the basis of transcripts and certificates from the previous school, apostilled and translated. Private and international schools have their own lists; we work from the school's list.
Do you keep our documents?
Only with your consent, in a vault where each family member's documents are visible to that person and the account holder only. Without the vault, originals are returned and scans deleted 90 days after the order closes. Special-category documents (medical, criminal record) are never kept. See the privacy notice.
